Paranormaalit Ilmiöt VR

Internship project made during Q4 2019-Q1 2020 @ Animaatiokopla in Helsinki

My contribution: Unity developer; doing retopology on sculpted models & animating them; programming; additional 3D & 2D.

​

Paranormaalit Ilmiöt was made with the intention of putting it up for showcase at an art gallery at MUU KAAPELI in Ruoholahti. The showcase had it's opening day on friday 28.2.2020 and it is going to be open until 5.4.2020.

​

Description: The project is a VR art experience where you are put into one of three different environments that have interactable objects, and when you interact with the objects they play a clip of an interview with a person about many different subjects. Those subjects could be mental health, friendship, struggling with your own mental image, jealousy and so on.

Short description: A sound playground in VR with many different objects music-like or not. You can play them and make sounds with them in many different ways like touching them, throwing them, using a turntable to make a beat or whatever you feel like.

Destroy Everything VR

My contribution: I was the project-lead, lead-programmer and also worked on 3D & some 2D.

​

Short description: VR game where you destroy everything you find in different apartments. Everything in these apartments is destructible in some way, and to help you destroy them you have weapons like a pistol or grenades.

​

The project was made as a team of 4 people at Helsinki Vocational College at Q3 2019 in 3 weeks.

Bunnycide

My contribution: I was the project lead, programming lead, implemented assets into Unity and did additional 3D.

​

Short description: Bunnycide is a 3D action game where your mission is to control a tank and kill cute-looking pink bunnies and destroy their buildings and structures. The game has many different bunny types and also power-ups & tank upgrading.

​

The project was made as a team of 7 people with students from Helsinki Vocational college and a student from a college in the UK during Q1 2019 in 3 weeks.

Short description: Initial Wave is a 3D-racing-game with a synthwave aesthetic and an open-world city that has races that you can complete. The game also supports split-screen play.

​

The project was made as a team of 3 people at Helsinki Vocational College at Q4 2018 in 4 weeks.

My contribution: I was the lead programmer & was responsible implementing assets into Unity.

​

moon. was a part of the Finnish game competition Bit 1 in Q1 2018. It was also released onto newgrounds during september 2019 getting frontpaged and also nominated for best games of the month.

​

Short description: moon is a 2D-puzzle-platformer with the main gameplay mechanic being mirrored movement by using a shadow version of yourself that you can spawn at will. The shadow needs to be used to solve puzzles to progress through 15 levels.

​

The project was made as a team of 5 people in 3 weeks at Helsinki Vocational College during Q1 2018.

GLITCHSCAPE (FGJ 2020)

Glitchscape was made during a 48 hour game jam at FGJ/GGJ 2020 by Alex Savander and Eeva Torkkola.

​

My contribution: I worked on the programming, 3D and composed the music.

​

Short description: 3D-top down shooter where your objective is to repair your ship by finding parts to fix it, while defending said ship from waves of different types of enemies.

Home=Safety (FGJ 2019)

My contributions: I was the lead programmer and 3D-modeler.

​

Game made during Finnish Game Jam 2019 as a team with 2 students and another person at the event.

​

Description: Home=Safety is a 3D third-person game where your objective is to go gather food for your hungry cat. But your character gets anxious being far away from his home, so his vision gets blurry. And during night time, ghosts creep up into the player.

Mixed Signals (FGJ 2018)

My contributions: I was the Unity developer.

​

Mixed signals was made during Finnish Game Jam 2018 as a team of 3 people.

​

Description: A 2D puzzle game where you control satellites in space with your goal being to get a transmission from the signal tower to a friendly spaceship to transmit an important message. The satellites can be rotated and when the signal is activated it starts shooting out the signal that bounces from one satellite to another.
